I know I'm late to the party but I did buy and play the game as promised! Just got onto Chapter 1 and I'm already impressed! Keep up the good work!. Most fun I've had in a game in a long time. Love all the unique classes and the story is really great. Combat is fun and challenging. If you like old school final fantasy this game is a MUST have! So excited and eager to get any expansaions or sequals.. Plenty of characters with fascinating stories; meaningful leveling system; lengthy, enjoyable storyline; Tony the Tiger says, "Grrrrrreat!". I've been on the hunt for a modern version of oldschool RPGs that would remind me of my dear FF 3/6, but most of them on Steam are short, 10-12 hour games littered with broken English and poor plots. Every time I played the Great Gaias, I felt some measure of surprise that it was a welldone, and fully fleshed out game with an interesting storyline that unfolds purposefully.. "...If we do not question our reality, we cannot understand it.Without understanding, we shall forever walk in darkness, unable to enact change."A journey that kept me hooked for its intriguing storyline and plot twists. The character development is great (Considereing that there are 16+ playable characters)But with every movie with so much cast, the later part of the games lacks much interaction or developement between the many characters... But the story more than makes up for it.The gameplay was to my liking, it was challenging at first but proper strategizing made all the difference.Usually i would select favs of a pool of characters and stick with them, but this game pushes you (In a good way) to utilize most if not all of them. (But you have ample opportunities to level the characters, so I didn't find it difficult)Trying to get all the achievements (Currently at 80%) and about 80 hours of ingame play. Time and Money well spent!Looking forward to future projects from you guys :). Can't recommend this. Looks like a megadrive port - and that's fine by me - but keeps freezing for 5 s every so often. Shoddy work especially given the steep price.. If I had to dedicate the song first love to a game series, I would dedicate it to suikoden. It is a series of games that will always have a special place in my heart.This game, the great gaias, remind of suiko 1 & 2. I am in love again.Initially I thought the price was a bit steep, then considering the fact that it is a small group of people spending years on this gem, I don't mind the price anymore. And from what I could tell, if you match $1 to every hour of gameplay, this game is more than $30 worth since it promises 60+ hrs gameplay.. I dont really know where to start with this game. It is a fairly simple RPGMaker Game, that said, it is one of the best ones on steam.There is a lot of story here, it might no be perfect, and it might not be the writing of some of the AAA titles, but it is good, and it will rip your heart out, in the same style that Game of Thrones does. If you care enoght too read everything, you will be happy, you will be dissapointed, and you will somtimes get sad. That said, it is a good thing, the story is sometimes a bit unexpected, and there are some twist here and there so far that keep things interesting.In summary* Excellent Turnbased RPG* Good story that changes things uo* Crafting (A bit lacking, but it is there)* Kealas is a ♥♥♥♥ing beast, god damn!* Last a long time (Im in 40 hours, and Im no where near done)For the negative* The game might crash (Remember to save once in a while (Does not happend that often))* I dont like Instakill abilites (Might be a personal preference, but instalkill abilities is no fun)* Some bosses hits you real hard with a "level cap", so you might need to grind some.* There are some hidden monsters that you can exploit to get high leverl after that the game gets fairly easy. * Kaelas is a too damn much of a bad♥♥♥♥♥ god damn is that guy a bad♥♥♥♥♥* How badass is Kaelas you say? Well, he can heal your party to full health, he can transform into several different aspects and regain mana, and do insane amount of aoe damage, or he can be a ♥♥♥♥ing bear and tank the♥♥♥♥♥♥out of the enemies, maybe you want a physical damage character? No problem Kealas got that covered, he can be a ♥♥♥♥ing saber and asswhipe everything with his awesome skills, hes like the druid above all druids. Why you ask? Because he is a ♥♥♥♥ing badass, thats why. Need some AOE health Regen? No problem, Need more mana on a different character? No problem, need to instakill some enemies? No problem. God damn I love that druid elf, he will♥♥♥♥♥♥on everything for you while keeping your party safe.10/10 Would play Kaelas Again. ♥♥♥♥ that Pots guy.. What can I say with under an hour played? There's zero hook to this game. The jarring differences in art across portraits, sprites, and battle sprites is a major turn off when there is no actual consistency between them, and in particular the battle sprites are straight up hideous. The writing is incredibly bland and guilty of frontloading you immediately with history lessons you have no reason to care about yet, and the dialogue reads like someone's fanfic from the 4th grade. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.. Excellent RPG.. Whats good everyone, i just want everyone to know this game is ♥♥♥♥in great! So far i have logged 27 hours!!! I must admit that I am loving this game. For a long time now I have been looking for a way to play a nice old school RPG, like the ones i grew up on, well this game delivers 100%!!! The game's story is great! It's a nice new and fresh story line that i'm really sinking my teeth into, and it's truly engrosing! The game mechanics are perfect, just like Final Fantasy 3, yet different in it's own subtle ways, making a great and unique game to play. There are tons of hidden gems in this game to find as well, they can be difficult to find, but remember all things worth while are difficult!
